This film has one message: it's ok to ask questions. A society that questions nothing cannot be honest with itself. Asking questions leads not to more confusion, but deeper understanding. Matt Smith (one of the writers we work with) created an excellent voiceover script that really drove these themes home. We decided a great way to enhance the vocal FX would be with motion graphics that complemented the text visually. It's also a great way to extend the branding throughout the piece. A unique challenge was getting an urban feel in Bend. While fairly large (about 100,000), Bend lacks the dense infrastructure of an urban landscape. This required a lot of creativity with different shots to isolate those areas that did have a big-city vibe. Lots of research, friends.
